Graduates’ Perspectives on Career Services

HEQCO’s study on the school-to-work transition explores the experiences of recent PSE graduates as they enter the labour market. Institutions offer career services, activities and workshops to support this transition. HEQCO’s research found that recent graduates consider some of these services more helpful than others, which are highlighted below.

Infographic title: Graduates' Perspectives on Career Services In 2023, HEQCO asked 271 four-year bachelor's degree graduates about the institutional services and activities that impacted their transition from school to work. 60% of graduates surveyed indicated they were aware of the services their institutions provided to assist with their labour market transition. 40% unaware of institutional services Graduates viewed practical career services as much more helpful during the job-search process.
