Shelley McGill is a professor emeritus of the Lazaridis School of Business and Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University. She holds law degrees from the University of Western Ontario and York University. While at Laurier Professor McGill served in a variety of senior administrative positions including director of the BBA program, associate dean of undergraduate business programs and acting dean of the Lazaridis School. Her research focuses on business law and consumer protection and is widely published in academic journals and cited by courts of all levels. Professor McGill is the author of a leading business law textbook, a deputy judge of the Ontario Small Claims Court and a member of the Law Society of Ontario. Prior to joining Laurier, she was a partner in the law firm of Sims Clement Eastman.
