Toronto – The Honourable Frank Iacobucci, chair of the Higher Education Quality Council of Ontario welcomes the appointment of Catherine Henderson and David Marshall to the Council’s board of directors.
“Doctors Henderson and Marshall are great additions to the board. They bring a wealth of knowledge about higher education,” said Mr. Iacobucci. “Their experience and achievements as leaders in the postsecondary education sector will enrich our deliberations and our work.”
David Marshall is president of Mount Royal College, a position he has held since 2003. Prior to joining Mount Royal College, he served as president and vice-chancellor of Nipissing University, and led that institution’s transition from college to university.
Catherine Henderson is currently a management consultant. During her distinguished career, Dr. Henderson served as president of the Ontario College of Art and Design, president of Centennial College and has held a variety of academic positions at other leading Ontario educational institutions.
“I’m delighted that David Marshall and Catherine Henderson will be joining the Council,” said James Downey, the Council’s president and CEO. “Their knowledge and wisdom will make a strong Council even stronger.”
