Hiro comes to HEQCO with over 20 years of experience in higher education research, policy analysis, program evaluation and administration. Through his educational and work experiences, Hiro has gained expertise in diverse research methodologies, statistical analysis procedures and international educational systems. He has worked at academic institutions, the United Nations, and other international organizations worldwide.
Hiro holds a PhD in higher education from the University of Toronto. He was a Rotary Peace Fellow and earned an MA in peace studies at International Christian University in Tokyo, Japan. Hiro also has an MA in international education from SIT Graduate Institute in Brattleboro, Vermont.
