Jackie Pichette (on leave)

Jackie guides research and policy agendas at HEQCO, and works with external partners to improve the quality of higher education in Ontario. Prior to joining HEQCO’s research team, Jackie worked with a consultancy that serves Indigenous communities through strategy development, policy advice, research and community engagement. She worked with multiple First Nation communities to develop education, employment and training strategies, igniting her passion for the improvement of postsecondary access and outcomes. Through her previous roles working in government and academic sectors, Jackie supported evidence-based policy development in areas of international economic development, civic engagement and women’s empowerment. Jackie holds a Master’s of Public Policy from Simon Fraser University and a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in political studies from Queen’s University.​
